any car with an engine that produces more than 1 horsepower

Most cars have more horsepower than a horse. All cars are faster than a horse. But there are some cars that could not pull the same load as a horse. For example a horse can climb a 40% grade at 2 mph without slowing down whereas my Cavalier will slow down considerably going up the same grade.

All cars have more power than a single horse. However most cars (in India) cannot match the power of a 100 horses.
