It sounds like she had food poisoning & the parasite is still residing in her stomach. You need to go to the doc & get some test done to make sure. She will need some meds to help resolve this problem. It won't hurt to drink some ginger tea.

Even if that initial incident was food poisoning, that should be out of her system by now. I would definitely have her see a doctor. She may simply have an adversion to eating too much which could have started with the first incident. This doesn't mean she is crazy or anything. We sometimes make strange connections in our brain when we have a bad experience. There are so many different things that could make her feel ill, she really needs to see someone to make sure it is not something serious.

Does this happen only when she eats certain foods or all foods? She could have a food allergy. Some people are allergic to ingredients such as wheat and experience severe gastrointestinal symptoms after consuming it. Also, she could have a stomach ulcer(loss of appetite, nauseous). Has your girlfriend recently lost a lot of weight? After a weight loss, people's stomachs shrink making less room for food. I suggest your girlfriend goes to a doctor. They are the only ones who can give her a proper diagnosis.

tell her to go to a dr. not the Internet.
could be a number of things. first ask if it is happening after certain foods? milk? milk is used in the prep of many foods and not always listed. other food allergies may also be the culprit. also, the longer she waits to go to a dr. the longer it will be until she gets better. if it is not a physical problem then the dr. can help you find the help you need. happy new year to both of you, good luck.

Sounds to me that there are two different things going on. The buffet she ate last month would not have any effect on today.
I would suggest to slow eating down. have her eat six small meals, not three large ones. Eat blan foods, soups, crackers, yogurt, pudding, ect..... then when she feels up to it introduce heavier foods to the diet.

give her some Ginger tea, eat it, or chew it, anything with ginger.
If she doesn't stop from vomiting within 24 hrs, you need to take her to a hospital.
