since im a fith grader myself i would say doing the whole project on the 3 forms of matter, solids liquids and gases. If you research that on google it will do the project for you;). For the model do for water showa cup of water and a pill DISOLVED it it, the pill changed from a solid to a liquid. For gas doa bottle of water with little drops of water it in on the sides, that went from a gas to a liquid, condensation. And for solid do 3 pictures of an ice melting, the first one when it starts , the second one half melted, and the third one when its water. Its a great subject. Hope that helps OH and something else, i recomend doing the project atleast a month before DONTDONTDONT cram it the night before. I got an A (100) on my project and it made it to the state!! Organize, plan, and then do it. Hope the fith grader does great and good luck!!

P.S sorry if its too long jeje i have my science book next to me and theres sooooo much to put on i just put that jeje

Which material makes a better thermal mass for storing heat from the sun.

Test different materials like bricks, water, metal, carpet, etc. See which stays warm the longest after being exposed to sunlight for a few hours. Keep all the other variables the same: sunlight angle, same day, same sun exposure, same mass, same surface area on the exposure side.
