I have a 10 gallon fish tank with 3 fish in them that are in the goldfish family. I just did a 100% water change yesterday and already i see sings that the water is getting cloudy. Can someone help? Are there any products that can help keep the water clear? Is my tank to small for my growing fish, they're not that big!

Do you have a pump filter? Do not over feed them and use good quality fish flakes which are highly recommended..

One of the reasons that your water is cloudy right now is that you did a 100% water change. This will completely disrupt the biological bacteria in the tank thus creating cloudy water. this will happen about 98% of the time you do a 100% water change and then put the fish in. This can also be very dangerous to fish. you should test your water right now to see if the ammonias and nitrites have not risen. when you set a tank up with nothing in it (cycling), ammonias and nitrates will skyrocket for the first couple days, then they fall down again. this now may have happened with the 100% water change so go get your water tested.

Now...the cloudy water for your tank originally, you have dirty fish (gold fish are VERY DIRTY). the biological bacteria could not keep up resulting in cloudy water. Add more carbon to your filter in back, there is a product that clears cloudy water, add some Live Plants (fish like to eat them too!. Hopefully that helps....

Well after I had this problem I realized that I was feeding my fish to much and the extra food was making the water nasty and I also got a new filter. I was using the one that came with my tank but I bought a good one and it does alot better. There are all kinds of drops att Petsmart and Walmart that you can buy to clear the water up when it starts getting cloudy.
