What ever you do, don't tan, you'll regret it in the future when you get leathery skin, wrinkles and age spots, not to mention skin cancer. Your best bet is sunless tanner. I'm very pale as well and I use sunless tanner when I want a little color. It doesn't turn you orange anymore and looks natural. But best of all, I don't have wrinkles and my skin is soft. (I'm 39) I don't have freckles or age spots either and I'm preventing skin cancer too. I always use sunscreen everyday. You can also use the lotions with a hint of color everyday and it will give you a subtle glow that will look natural. Just take care of yourself, I'm sure you don't want to look like a freckled dried up prune. Happy New Year.

Take it very slow and wear a bronzer (not a tingle) with cocoa butter and no fake tanner in it. Start off 5 or 6 minutes so you don't burn go 3 days in a row then every other day until you get a base tan.

Use self tanner, Neutrogena makes a spray that works really well for fair skin. Start out in the spring, it will look alittle blotchy at first but do it everyday and it evens out. wear gloves or make sure you wash your hands well after you apply. I use it on my legs for a light tan, so i don't look so bad in shorts. The sun and tanning beds are a big no no for fair skin people, they will give you serious problems later.

you're not getting freckles it is sun spots that happen from damaging your skin by tanning. But I would go for a spray on tan if you are getting those spots on you.
