At the beginning of the program it seemed like they didn't very often, but I think MTV caught on and realized that people like seeing others break up and move onto other relationships, so it seems the child more frequently chooses someone her parents choose now.

Yes, a few times, and it is great to see the reaction of the rejected boyfriend / girlfriend.
One time the boy picked a new girl and the rejected girlfriend pushed them into a pool.

I have seen it happen a few times. Not often but a couple of them have. Well, kids can be so hard headed and not realise that their parents really do know (somewhat) what is best for them.
