i was approved for disability 3 weeks ago.will i get a check for january?

i was approved for social security disability 3 weeks ago.it has taken almost 3 years.will i get a check for january and is there a way i can get information re:how much the monthly check will be and how much back-pay i will get? thank you

yes you will get a check for January .social security should be sending you a letter soon.i received back pay to the date i first filed for disability so for you, you should get 3 years of back pay unless you had a lawyer then the lawyer will take some.I have been on disability for almost 4 years now.I got my letter of approval in december,got my first check in january

They should be sending you this information. If you don't receive it very soon, you could call them and ask.
