You mean like making a big deal about the fact that they passed legislation to build a fence on the border between the U.S. and Mexico but were hoping that nobody would notice that they chose to not fund the building of the fence?

You're going to sit there and tell us that 12 million is something to draw attention away from the war in Iraq? Ilegal aliens is a big problem for our economy that we cannot ignore forever. One of the things that it does it supress the wages in certain markets, such as construction. How? If you own a construction business and you want to hire Americans or legal immigrants and you have to compete in a market that is supported by workers who are underpaid, do you really think that they can afford to pay legal workers top dollar? No, it's serious business in and of itself.

No.
There are more than 1 issue to deal with at a time.
Illegals drive down wages and put a burden on our taxes.
As far as Iraq goes removing a dicator is a bad thing and giving people freedom is bad thing. Right?

Perhaps we should ask Hillary. How did YOU vote? Giving more of OUR tax dollars to those who knowingly and willingly break our laws. Perhaps we should just annex all of those countries south of our current border. Cheap labor, more people to tax... And they will ALL gladly vote democrat, all you have to do is promise more free handouts. Right? And how ABOUT that war in Iraq? How many democrats voted in favor of going to war? Did any of them read the dosiers provided before they voted? Did any of them think to ask about credibility and sources? No? Guess they don't have much of a leg to stand on when they cry about having been "Lied" to.

No. The illegal immigration issue is a completely different thing. Iraq is about exploitation of another country for oil. Terrorism, however, has been used as a tool to justify their actions.

Actually, no Chucky, not at all. In fact, both parties are equally ignoring the illegals in hopes that they will be their next big voting block. Feel better now? The blame is to be shared equally.

illegal immigration isn't a tool to draw attention used by republicans it's a tool used by both rep. and dems.
republicans don't want to stop it because they want the cheap labor and the Democrats won't stop it because they want more people they can put and welfare so they can get votes

Yes totally, and I don't know why? They have a terrible agenda in that area. They're wasting money by sending troops down there and there wasting even more building a wall that leaves a giant hole in the middle. Honestly the republicians have dug them selves in such a big hole with Bush that they're trying to boast anything that they can do. But what can you expect with a president who says his greatest accomplishment is catching a perch.

Since the most powerful Republican supports a position more lenient than many Democrats, it's difficult to imagine collusion in shifting focus.
