Who is Bush to tell another country (i.e. Iraq) what kind of government they should have? Do you see him telling Cuba that they can't be a dictatorship? or North Korea that they can't be communist? I have believe all along that he has always been motivated by one thing...OIL. IRAQ is turning out to be another Vietnam. We are losing! Bush needs to pull his head out of his a** and bring our people home to protect what is ours now what is someone else's.

That's original. I've never heard the oil reasoning before. Iraq is an actual war though, Vietnam was just a military conflict.

I don't think Bush is trying to play God, I do think he made a bad choice with Saddam. I also agree with the oil thing and money was a driving force behind it. Halliburton, ring any bells for you? What about Africa, that's every bit as horrific as what Saddam was doing, why not go there and help those poor souls? Not enough resources from their country? War is ugly and nobody really wins. Yet it is the nature of the beast, and war will always be happening somewhere. Vietnam was a military conflict and not a war, tell that to families who lost loved ones. I am a proud American and will 110% support our troops in any way I can, that doesn't mean I support the war. Our military is doing it's job and we should all thank God for them and pray for them.

i agree with u. u see bush worrying all about iraq but u never see him worrying a lot about things that really matter. for example u see the us citizens contributing and helping ppl from the hurricanes whose homes got destroyed. u see other citizens going over fighting and putting their lives on the line just so that jerk can be safe.and all he worries about is the oil in iraq. i agree with u totally. he only cares about two things his life and the oil he brings into the country. he doesnt care how many troops die in iraq. my cousin almost died over there. do u think he cares. no. he sees the soldiers as ppl that work for him not ppl who have lives and families

only God can appoint (or disappoint ) leaders and anoint them, and in seeking to impose his military might G. Dubya is playing God. little wonder some 3000 of his men (and counting) are dead for it....a Pyrrhic victory of sorts. in the end conventional wisdom dictates that a people deserve the leaders they get.

By your own reasoning Bush should have taken over Venezuela by now.

If this is all about oil then why are we paying over two bucks a gallon for gas? Shouldn't it be a whole lot cheaper now?
