The one that has Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett as Rafe and Danny, I don't know if I should buy it or not, what do you think?

That movie is very similar to "Titanic" in the flaws that hurt it, and the great moments that make the movie excel...

First, it revolves around a baloney love story, which is enormously infuriating, because that love story is NOT necessary to get people to the movie. The attack on Pearl Harbor is an incident all on its own...just like "Titanic"...

Here's the thing...

There are a hundred REAL stories that have never been told about BOTH incidents....and to MAKE ONE UP is truly a slap in the face of those who lived and died during each event...

But...

The effects and scenery and intensity of both movies...honestly...YOU'RE THERE, MAN...

And that is reason enough to buy Pearl Harbor...(forget about Titanic)...

Because for a 45 - 50 minute sequence at the time of the attack of Pearl Harbor, the movie becomes a near-perfect documentation of what happened that day....

over 2500 Americans died that day...some horribly so...and this film does justice to that...

Its just the hackneyed love story that makes me want to vomit...its completely unnecessary....and hinders the overrall process...but Hollywood would inject a love story into the Jack the Ripper murders, so...

Just my Opinion
