I love music so much, and I was just wanted to hear expierences from people who have played. Cause I am starting soon.

I've played the guitar for 3 or 4 years now and I love it. I've found that it's a great way to get out frustrations--just play the daylights out of the guitar, 'cause you can always buy new strings. I wouldn't say that playing the guitar is easy, but it's not really hard either. Once you learn to play, it just gets easier and easier as you practice. I had someone give me lessons for about a year, and after that, I pretty much taught myself. I'm still learning new things every day. The guitar's a great instrument to play, and if you're thinking about learning, I would definitely recommend it.

Yeah, I play mostly electric(and sometimes acoustic). I just love the sound of it, I'm into rock music(and rap music but I can't play it on guitar), so I can play all of the songs that I like :) . It's pretty difficult at first, but after a while it's a piece of cake!

Plan on getting lessons if you really want to master the guitar, I had a friend who played in a band and taught me some basic cords and i can do some basic G, E, C, stuff but if you want to play the cool lead stuff like eddie van halen your going to need a good teacher!!!!, Iv'e been playing for 20 years and i still don't get the lead guitar scale principle etc.... I play guitar. You shouldn't play guitar just to fit in or because you "think it's awesome". You should play guitar because it is meaningful to you. And yes it's hard. Nothing is easy. You can pick up on things easy but it takes a lot of patience and work.
If you want to play I highly recommend fingerstyle.

Yes, i play guitar....it was hard at first but after playing for about 2 years it got easy.

I play the acoustic bass. I saw a gorgeous guitar in the music store, and I had to have it...then I had to learn to play it. Took lessons, and it was a lot of work, but it wasn't too hard to learn to play. I like to play bass to my brother's acoustic lead....

my brother plays electric, and acoustic very good and he's learning bass guitar he said it was hard at first but he took lessons and kept practicing so its like everything practice makes perfect (sometimes)

it is easy as....uuhhh 1,2,3....yeah..just play what you feel sounds good then just progress from there...
