Since this sounds like a "over the holiday break" project I'm going to respectfully decline to answer.

HOWEVER, if you still need to know after, say next Saturday ping me an email and I'll tell you all about it :)

Happy homework & blessings,
Zimmi

Oh, come on--there are sites for this. See if you can find the site for the exhibit going around that has a bunch of Egyptian tomb stuff--I saw it at the Frist museum in Nashville (I'm not sure where it is now.)

For extra credit, WHO were the four items? They have names.

1.) I THINK it was the four sacred canopic jars, designed to house the internal organs of the pharoah (heart, lungs, intestines, stomach).

2.) Most sarcophagie were decorated with protective spells and incantations, in hope of offering the dead spirit protection in the afterlife. The coffin's face would obviously be designed to look like the deceased.

A very good source to reference would be "The Egyptian Book of the Dead", it gives you all the information you need for this question and some very, very, interesting reading and insights into the Ancient Egyptian culture.
