You can do a wet set using perm rods or big rollers and clips, then sit under the hooded dryer.- a neat curled look
or
for a more krinkled look braid the locks in sections while wet, and then air dry, or sit under the dryer = my favorite method
or
make bantu knots and then sit under the dryer and take it down for a more wild non-uniform look.. - the curls will be everywhere.
The results depend on the length of your locks.. thinner locks will have a better result than big thick rope locks which will be harder to curl.... but if you have thick rope locks they should krinkle up real nice if you do the braid while wet method.

You can try rolling them with rollers (your choice of what type) and placing them in hot water like they do with braids.
