There's no doubt that Kirk Herbstreit knows the game of football, but can he be any more biased and contradictive? For example, the day USC played UCLA, Kirk was slamming the Gators because of how bad they played against Florida State, and then he was blabbing about how the USC and UCLA match-up is going to be a tough game because it's a rivalry game. What in the world does he think the Florida / Florida State match-up is??? If the Florida / Florida State match-up isn't one of the biggest rivalries in college football, then what in the world is it??? We all know how much respect Kirk lacks for the SEC and how much he's biased towards the Big Ten and the Pac Ten, and I could go on and on with many examples of how biased and contradictive he is, but I want to hear what other people think.

I agree with some of you, but I also believe some of the analysts are more objective than others. Anyone can have an opinion, but I believe in order to be a good analyst one has to be objective rather than subjective. For example, even though I'm a Gator fan, I believe Ohio State is a better team after watching them play, but I still think it will be a fantastic match-up.

Kirk just wants a matchup so no matter what came out he could say the Big Ten is the best. If it were Michigan and Ohio State who played no true out of conference teams that were any good, then there would be a 100% chance that one of the teams he wanted would be the best in the nation. If it were Florida, then there is only a 50% chance and that the SEC may prove to be a better conference, as it has so far this bowl season. Kirk doesn't want that and that's why he is biased. I mean he didn't slam his alma mater for a bad game against Illinois. Of course not, because for some reason nobody wants to get the real facts that the SEC is better than all of the other conferences.

I'm sorry to tell you this but everyone is biased in one way shape or form, it is just a part of life.Without bias there would be no opinions therefore no crappy analysts like Dick Vitale.

I like him but I do think he is biased. All of them are really. Even certain channels are biased to certain sports teams. It's just an inevitable thing with sports.
