In all honesty, humans are a "pansexual" creature. Anything which does not harm other beings (or at least does not harm them without their consent) is normal.
That's all there is to it.
Labels must be abolished if we are to ever attain any sort of liberation of thought on this issue.

From my point of view it is not abnormal. I'm gay, and liking the same gender is normal for me; but forever seeing people of the opposite genders falling in love and being together, it is established as 'normal' in its broadest context.
If we take a hypothetical situation where the majority of people are gay/lesbians and only a handful of people are straight, then accepting that the straight people are normal wouldn't be quite as easy.

Depends on what you mean by normal. Statistically speaking you are probably correct (i.e., there are more breeders than gays).
But being in the majority does not necessarily imply rectitude of conduct.
