You're thinking of Zathura, a space-age remake of the jungle-based Jumanji. Also, Night at the Museum seems to be basically the same idea. Without the boardgame.

Zathura was by the makers of jumanji and had the same basic plot, except it was in space... but has it realy been 2 years already?

You must mean Zathura, directed by Jon Favreau, about a couple of brother who start playing a game, only to find that whatever happens in the game also happens to them in real life. I took my son to see it, and thought it was pretty good.

Hm. I believe it was Dumb & Dumber. I remember my brother waking me up one afternoon so I could watch it with him. After seeing it, I fell in love with the movie and Jim Carrey, Lol. Then I started watching the rest of his movies and then I got into other films and actors. BQ- Twelve. BQ2- Ten times, maybe? BQ3- I used to be a huge comedy fan, but after watching a lot of Quentin Tarantino, especially Pulp Fiction my tastes in films changed a lot. Comedy is probably my least favourite genre now.
