Well I've been in the business over 20 years, so I've seen a lot!
Remembering the exact years & model numbers with the miles is the hard part!!!!
There are a few that come to mind:
I had a guy that used to get a new Escort Wagon every 4 years.
He ran a "Courier Service" (talk about long, hard miles on a car) & had 378,000 miles on a 4 year old car! Guess that's why he kept getting the same car!
I also had a Plumber trade a 10 year old E350 Cargo Van. This was in about 1985-6, but i remember it well because he had the old 4.9 liter straight 6cyl engine & insisted on the same because he had 317,000 miles on it.
I, myself , rented a U-Haul truck about 7 years ago. It was a Ford with a diesel engine & had over 400,000 miles on it.
My brother sold his 94 f150 reg cab long bed (again 4.9 engine) with 164,000 miles, in 1999 (or 2000 can't remember which) only because he adopted a 6 year old daughter & needed to get a back seat. He also wanted an automatic cuz his wife couldn't drive a stick shift. so he bought another F150, supercab. By the way he sold his truck to a mechanic where he took it to have it checked out befor putting it up for sale. It still had the ORIGINAL CLUTCH !
I guess you could say that these are just a few of the reasons why I love FORDS !

I had a 1995 Ford F350 with a 351mod400 gas engine that used 1/2 qt. of oil between changes. It had over 380,000 miles when a tree fell on it during hurricane RITA smashing it! Sold it to a fellow who put the engine in another truck& the last I heard put another 40K and still going strong!

I have a 1979 Ford Mustang with the 2.3L 140CID and it has 200,000 Miles on it and counting. I love to drive it year round. But when I need to save some money on gas I drive my 1988 Pontiac Fiero 2.5L witch has 140,000 miles on it and still gettin 40+mpg. Gotta love American cars.
