I wanted to know. My husband had his heart set on a girl and I wanted to prepare him and give him time to get used to the idea if it was a boy. Good that I did. Our son is due in 6 weeks, and whilst it began slowly, my husband is now so excited and cannot wait to finally see his son. I could not have dealt with my husband going through this process whilst I needed him to support and help me the most after the birth. For me, I just wanted to know so that I could stop referring to the baby as "it" and start preparing for his arrival.

I didn't want to know with our first. I wanted to be surprised. But, with our second I wanted to know so I could be prepared either way. I wanted to know if I needed to get new clothes, bedding, toys, etc... And also to prepare myself if we were having the opposite. Now with my third, our first are girls, I really needed to know to save my sanity!! Of course, we having another girl!! She will be the ninth granddaughter on my husbands side! No grandsons! I'm happy about it cause I wouldn't know how to take care of a boy and he'd be the only boy with 2 sisters and 6 girl cousins surrounding him!! Poor guy. Anyway, we're thrilled and we don't have to spend any extra money to get boy stuff!

Yes... I can't stand not knowing. Hopefully we will find out at our next appointment. I really want to know so I can start preparing the nursery. I don't want to have everything unisex.

Absolutely. I want to be mostly prepared for girl or boy things, although I am going to have the major stuff be neutral in case they are wrong. Plus I am terrible at waiting. Also, it helps narrow down the name search.
