auld lang syne is a scottish poem, set to music, by famous scot man robert burns, poet. it means, "days long past," or "days long past," and is apropos for the new year. and yes, i love it. burns gets the most attention for this verse, so he gets the credit.

I do. I learned most of it from watching It's A Wonderful Life. But it's "Auld Lang Syne" by the way. :)
