Is it just in one ovary? Sometimes women develop cysts on their ovaries, but they usually pop with no problem or pain. If your pain is continual, I would check with your gynecologist .

ARe you on your menstrual or ovulating?
Get a check up for endometriosis. I had it, but unfortunately it didn't come up on the ultra-sound or whatever test thay gave me. It was detected once I had surgery for fibroids and it was removed. It could run in your family? ANyway this is one possibility. Because I was in pain during my "moon time" due to this condition. Just go talk to your doctor.

Better have it checked out. You could have cyst that needs to be removed. Pain is not normal, it's your body's way of telling you that something is wrong. Go see your doctor ASAP!

it MAY be a cyst. i get them, so i know how bad it hurts.

you usually get them in the middle of your cycles, so two weeks after or before your period. next time they start to hurt, check when you get your next period.

you COULD go to a doctor but they can't do much. they'll probably reccomend going on the pill, if you aren't already on it. it can help if you have heavy periods and cysts. they have low doses and super small pills too, if you don't like swallowing pills like i don't.

but cysts can decrease your chance of having children, so it'd probably be best to get it checked out.

hope that helps!

It could just mean that you're ovulating, but if you're really concerned, have a check-up with your gynecologist to rule out more serious conditions.
