everytime i go online and open more then one program i get frequent disconnects

DSL line drops do not increase with data traffic. You have other troubles with your DSL circuit. Ask your service provider to increase the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) on your circuit to 8dB which will give you a more stable circuit. You can also request better noise protection by asking for the INP (Impulse Noise Protection) to be set to 2.

The only thing I can think of is that you need to install DSL line filters on any phone jack that has a phone plugged into it. These should have come with your self installation kit. If you need more than they provided you can pick them up at any electronics store (Radioshack, Best Buy, Circuit City... and so on).

Of course, given your explanation, I doubt that this is your problem. That may not be the cause of the disconnects. It's something you can try anyway, DSL line filters run about $5 to $10 each.
