Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday, therefore it is celebrated in America. That is not to say that a few people don't celebrate it in other countires. Kwanzaa consists of seven days of celebration, featuring activities such as candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and culminating in a feast and gift-giving. It was invented by Ron Karenga, and first celebrated from December 26, 1966, to January 1, 1967.
It was started in AMERICA not AFRICA, so you cannot go ask them.

Kwanzaa was started by the ACLU because they viewed Christmas as a "predominantly white" holiday.
