Get a bulb syringe, make a solution of salt and warm water (light on the salt) and lean over the sink and insert the syringe into one side of your nose and flush your sinuses out. At first this will be weird and may burn a bit but with practise it will get easier.
When we breathe in, our nose filters a lot of 'crap' that shouldn't go to the lungs. Because of the design a lot of toxic and inert stuff stays in there, and some of it stays in the deeper sinuses.
Mold can grow out of this funk over time and really reek havoc on our health. Flushing the air system is very necessary to good respiratory health.

Isotonic saline solution is a good home remedy..
Ingredients for an Isotonic Saline Solution
1 teaspoon of salt (kosher, canning, pickling, or sea salt is preferable to table salt
16 oz. of room temperature water (0.47 liter or 1 US pint)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
Instructions
1. Mix the ingredients together in a clean container with a tight cover. This recipe can be halved and used for seven days. Do not store for longer than seven days.
2. A clean rubber-topped dropper can be used. If unavailable, an ear syringe or any dropper from a pharmacy, neti pot (a "tea pot" for the nose), or a clean hand can be used. I used a clean dropper top from an empty herbal tincture bottle.
3. Place some solution in the upper nostril. Plug that nostril and tilt the head slightly back and to the opposite side so the fluid runs out the other nostril. Place some more fluid in the upper nostril, then tilt the head slightly backward and to the same side to reach the sinuses. Repeat this procedure with the other nostril. Wash the dropper with hot water before dipping it back into the solution container to prevent contamination.
4. Gargle with some solution, letting it wash the back of your throat.
5. Blow your nose gently.
This procedure can be done once a day for mild symptoms of chronic sinusitis or for prevention during allergy season.
Precautions and Risks
Over-irrigation can compromise the ability of the sinuses to fight bacteria.
People with acute sinusitis should avoid this procedure, since it can facilitate the spread of bacteria and cause more serious infection. People with deficient immune systems should always consult a health practitioner before trying this procedure.

Saline... that is just salt water... if you CAN go buy a bottle at the drug store it would of course be better than snorting water up your nose... this will help make the stuff in your sinuses break up and run out. Also steam is great. If you dont have a vaporizer, go sit in the bathroom and turn on the shower as hot as it will go (dont get in it!) and just breathe in the steam. This will also make it run out.

The best thing that I found for helping to unblock sinuses is using menthol cyrstals, you can usually get these in chemists and supermarkets, and steam your head with these. Use very hot / near boiling water and add a few of the menthol crystals, pop a towel over your head and let the menthol steam do its work.
If you do use these crystals, make sure you only use a very few of the crystals as they are very strong - and they will make your eyes really sore if you put too much in!! (I know I did it!!)
Happy new year!

Inhaling steam from a vaporizer or a hot cup of water can soothe inflamed sinus cavities. Another treatment is saline nasal spray, which can be purchased in a pharmacy. A hot water bottle; hot, wet compresses; or an electric heating pad applied over the inflamed area also can be comforting.

Mould from bread contains penicillin.
Unfortunatley it isnt measured or processed.
Worse still ,where would you find 3 day old bread ?
It might be easier to scrounge unused penicillin/amoxycillin from friends.
There are sinus relief medicines available that do not destroy the infection but supposedly control the symptoms......they dont work!

Get some menthol crystals from your pharmacy, them put a small amount in hot water in the sink. Put a towel over your head and breathe in the menthol steam through your nose.
Alternatively, you can pinch the bridge of your nose gently.
