I have just seen some episodes or Lost, Heroes, Jericho, Lost Room, Day Break, all decent enough (Heroes especially) but they all seem to add a twist to existing ideas rather than be original.
Lost: The most original but a mix of the Prisoner, Robinson Crusoe, etc.
Heroes: Xmen, mutant x
Day break: Groundhog day
jericho: Last Man on Earth, Omega Man, On the Beach, etc.

Anyone got any good ideas?

Here is mine:
New Earth: 1977 and a guy goes to sleep and wakes up in a strange place. He finds a town populated by people from different countries at different times in the 20th century - japenese soldier, russian commissar, American miner, etc.. The town allows no one to leave (prisoner like?) and each episode focusses on another new arrival (each at a later year on Earth), plans to escape or 'experiments' they have to carry out.

Not bad, but it does sound very similar to the cult British 60s TV show "The Prisoner" with Patrich McGoohan. It was a brilliant bit of TV by the way and everyone should watch it.

I don't have any original ideas, but I have a new twist for some old ideas.

Star Trek: Starfleet Special Ops - A show about a group of humans/aliens doing spywork or stopping a large conspirancy ala 24.

Variant of I Robot, and Robocop. Man dies and wakes up as the intelligence in a robot 30 years later. Finds that he is in slavery as robot servant, but with full memory of his past. Works to free the robot species, finds family along the way, finds love with a human, forced to do things that abhor him.

Anything involving time travel or a virus infecting the human population and turning everyone into zombies.

Your idea sounds like a mix of Prisoner and Hotel California.

Personally i like my sci-fi to be alien :)

I would like to see the Cybermen versus the Borg and see them beat the bejezus out of the Yankee upstarts.
