Does anyone know how many lectures I would have to attend at university for the Midwifery degree full time? And are they the same as college?

I am currently in to my third year of a history degree, in the first two years I was there for approximately six hours per week for lectures and seminars, although you do need to spend as much time, if not more in the library.
Most universities insist that you attend at least 70% of your lectures/modules.
Each year is split into two semesters, and you take three modules per semester for your first two years. In your third year, I did two modules and my dissertation in my first semester, and in the second semester I will be doing three modules, but each university is different.

As midwifery is a health care degree it is probably farly different from other degrees especially arts degrees like History etc. You will probably have a fairly full 9-5 timetable (with wednesday afternoons off and some free other periods) This might include lectures, labs, practical sessions, seminars and tutorials. You will also go on hospital placements to learn the practical skills and these placements will increase in frequency and length until you qualify.

Although this is perhaps more time consuming than other degrees I think it has the potential to be both rewarding and ensure you a good career. Good Luck with whatever you choose to do.

Ha Ha Ha more lectures I wish!!
I'm doing an engineering degree and i don't know how much contact time you have at College, but it will probably be considerably less.
I have 4 modules and 4 hours contact time (lectures and tutorials) for each module.

It depends on how the program you attend is set up. These things are not standardized.

Good Luck!!!
