Interesting question. I do know there is a theory by some creation scientists that the ancient hominids found
( cro magnon- neanderthol etc) were actually very old at the times of their deaths- therefore the change in facial skeletal structure. In the old testament people lived to be hundreds of years old - the oldest recorded was Methusala who lived to be 969. The bible says sin lessoned the years of mankind. So creation scientists (some) think that these skeletons are examples of very very old hominids... Just a theory... and anything is possible.

The cartilage areas grow such as the ears, jaw, nose. Hair loss makes it look like the forehead is growing.

well, in a way, yes. As age increases, the hairline recedes, causing the person to have a larger forhead.

It does appear that way - mine looks bigger with each year. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the hairline receding!
