I live in Ohio and have taught at both public and private schools. In my opinion the differences are very little as far as academics and opportunities. One advantage to a private school is I think that the counselors work harder to help seniors get scholarships to college because it looks good for the school.

Sometimes in a public school there are more options for electives because often the schools are larger. Because they are larger your child may get less personal attention.

I always thought that public school teachers spent most of their time on discipline. That is not true. I have seen bad teachers in both public and private schools. If the kids know that they can get away with something they will try it no matter where they are. At the private school a kid threw a desk out a window. At the public schools they encourage fights rather than talk their friends down.

Check out both schools; go with the one that you feel best about. Good luck.

I even have lived in Westerville all my existence and that i'm able to inform you that bigger Arlington public colleges have a good popularity in all factors-teachers, activities, and so on. Their guidance gadget is in all probability the appropriate interior the Columbus section. as far as Wellington, i don't likely be attentive to a lot with reference to the college so i can't supply you with any advice on it.
