I found 24 too violent and upsetting to watch (a friend of mine was a terrorist on the show, and when he got killed off I was relieved not to feel obligated to watch it anymore!) I liked the West Wing because the writing was really good, I could relate to the characters and the situations they faced, and the issues on the show were dealt with in an interesting and sometimes humorous way. They also didn't kill off too many of their characters, which is always so upsetting!

I watched a few episodes of 24 & it was too high drama for me. Recently discovered the West Wing courtesy of repeats on E4 and this is definitely my favourite. Highly recommend the West Wing.

I like both - well, West Wing is no more, but 24 was probably more interesting overall. Less believable, but more interesting. Unless, of course, you are a republican. Then maybe both were not so believable.

West Wing looks interegauing but 24 was so dull - i'm sorry guys but there's only so many times Jack can have the wrong bomb or stop the bomb and start something else ticking.... he's died for his country...oh wait no he hasn't .... wait a minute he has to die for his country (AGAIN)
