does anyone beleive that saddam has really been hanged or that it was just to cover up for the real time and date? i mean surely for all the backlash its going to cause is it really worth risking the soldiers lives knowing that saddams supporters will try to avenge his death?

there is a possibility that one of his " double`s" was on the end of the rope he could of been switched at any time , the officials only witnessed the execution they where not in the holding cell with him 24/7 and we have to ask the question what did happen to all his double`s ? it was a well known fact that he had many of them and it was hard for people who really knew him ( including his son`s before they died ) to distinguish if it was the real Saddam or not , so what are the chances of officials recognising him at the execution ? there is many question`s without answer`s so i think that yes there is a slight possibility that it was not him on the end of the rope !

Let's look at the facts. It's the press that was screaming backlash. Since when have they had any clue as to what Iraq was all about. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people and others from the Middle east were victims of him murder, torture and cruelty. 80% of Iraq are happy as hell he is gone and Iran will declare it a holiday, along with Kuwait and others. The 20% is manageable that is if they do anything at all. This was just another attempt of the Media to terrorize you. They are good at it.

It's more trouble and would cause more problems to have a "staged" execution. You think that the "backlash" is going to be less for a fake then a real execution? If you can't remember Occam's Razor think of the KISS principle.

You conspiracy theory was blown out of the water this morning.
The film of his hanging is all over the Internet. His neck snapped instantly and he was scared stiff when the noose was put around his neck. The snap could be clearly heard. Dead as a dodo. Just like your ridiculous theory. You should always think before you speak. Get your facts and then you won't feel the way you must be feeling now.
