I've seen the video and hold no emotion for him, yes bush & blair sent all the troops out but only because of saddam.
and all those saying he didnt deserve to be hung.....do you know what its like to lose your husband/father/son/uncle etc, a man whose trying to protect the innocent and capture the guilty? I very much doubt it, and having to tell daddys little girls that he's not coming back is more painful than anyone could ever imagine.
he got what he deserved, end of. and of course people are going to what the video, it will be an iconic moment in our lifetimes!

Yeah i have seen the video's of the hanging (the cell phone footage) and the after hanging video's and i think justice was served. We can look from the outside in and judge but could not do the deed's of one person justice! That is why he was placed on trial and was found guilty. You also must accept the fact that killing is a part of war, War doesn't determine who is right but who is left. Justice served for one man hatred for the people he governed, almost like Hitler. Would you feel different if it were Hitler? Just my opinion.

every world leader has his place in history, some countries are more barbaric than the others as time goes by, the violation of hanging protocols if they ever exists must be followed after all it is the BIG SAM UNCLE UNDER WHOES NOSES IT HAS HAPPEND !

This is the best video I have found. I have looked everywhere and alot of the posts are bogus. Here is a clean fast loading unedited, un-cut video of Saddam Hussein getting hanged! Shows them putting the rope around his neck and him dropping and eventually shows him hanging from the rope. Pass it on!

Saw both videos; CNN, only up to having noose around neck, and the smuggled video. The smuggled viseo was not that great to watch --- wife takes better videos than that...

i have seen what they could show and it does instinctively make me feel sad, i suppose it would anyone because its hard to imagine yourself being in the situation that he was in-how would you be feeling standing there with a noose around your neck knowing that any second the hatch would open and you would have your neck broken? After all he is a human being too but then we do have to remember what he did and the people who died because of him and all the trouble he has caused.....im not saying i definitely believe in the death penalty but if someone killed a family member of your own or your friends would you want them to die? i probably would want them to....But it still made me feel unhappy.

I really do think that this is wrong to have it available on line.
Its sickening to think that people find pleasure not only knowing that someone was sentenced to death but to find entertainment in watching it? Common please!
Forget it and worry about more important things! Like loving those around you etc and making someones elses life a little better!

i was looking for it on youtube.com, they only show up till the nuse is put on his neck. then they have photos of him laying on the ground, covered with a white sheet. i think thats a little weird. as far as i know no person has yet to come foward and say that they have witnessed the execution first hand. for all we know, these blured images are just another trick the iraque people, and litterley saddams hinchmen, have fooled the world with - yet again...

I've seen it. The quality was kinda bad so maybe that took some of the emotional impact out of it. I've seen far worse. He died pretty instantly which some people don't do when they're hung so, it really wasn't that bad.

Yes, I did. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
I know that he tortured and killed loads of people, but his death was not justice, it was revenge. Seeing anything die is not very nice.
I think it would have been better to have left him to rot for the rest of his life in a prison cell.
