First, let me say that I don't believe that all muslims are terrorists. And, thank you for your New Year wishes.
However, I hope your were joking (LOL) when you said that Bush started this war!!! I believe that it started when nearly 3,000 innocent people (Muslim, Christian and Jew alike) were killed on Sepember 11, 2001. Maybe not everything done in the war on terror was done right, however.....
The hate started long before that though.
The bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon - they were there on a mission of peace. The first bombing of the WTC in 1991. The bombing of the USS Cole. Etc, etc.....
How to get along? Those who hate someone only because of religion or skin color or whatever seem to not want to get along. I don't know why or how to change their way of thinking. It all starts with how they are trained by their parents and religious leaders. Until that cycle is broken, nothing will change.
I would like to think that we could all decide to get along and just leave each to their own thing.

I'm pretty sure the Jews and the Muslims were not getting along before 911. Also, continue to believe the conspiracy theories about 911 if you want to, but you're only fooling yourself. The problem isn't really the normal religious Joe. It's the fundamentalist Joe that is causing all the problems for the rest of us (that includes all religions). I think Americans are in dire NEED of cultural education in relation to the rest of the world. Most of us are completely ignorant to other cultures and how the way we are acting is egging on the hatred of the enemy.

I think we don't get along largely because people who are observant of their own religion have to believe that their God is the only God and the words of their religion are the only right words to live by... those who believe that unless you accept Christ as your savior have a hard time becoming socially intimate with people who are waiting for Moshiach... each one lives through their beliefs so embracing someone who doesn't believe similarly is like being a traitor to ones own dogma/doctrine/credo
what I think could help is people realizing/acknowledging/ accepting that first and foremost, we are all the children of one God whose words have been interpreted differently by different cultures and that we are all the same under the skin...
I pray that my words have not been offensive to anyone - that is not my intent - this is just how I believe
Eid Mubarak to you... Happy New Year to all...

Simple but profoundly meaningful question! Unfortunately, that is exactly why people don't get this. They think it is too simple to do. In actuality, it can be done. Why it hasn't been done universily is because again people do not believe it. In order to prove to those doubting ones among us that it can be done is the fact that there are among us many peaceful and loving people that DO get along....and yes among that group are people like me and my spouse, periennial hippies. Peace and Love: still simple but profound ideas....C'mon people now, love each other.....thanks for the question. Excellent!

Excuse me, saying that no one hated anyone before 9-11 is ridiculous. Do you really envision hell as a peaceful place? There has always been racism and hatred. Bush didn't start it, and a simplistic question will not end it.

i think the reason there is no world peace is because there are some people out there who are out for themselves and just really dont give a damn, some of those people are in power. there have always been problems, and there always will. you sound nice, and i really wish we could all get along just like u do, i like people, but too many dont care.

No. The muslims started the war by pushing their agenda. Kinda like all the other special interest groups in the US. Only they have a global agenda.

OK...are you a hippie? No, we did not all get along. Of course, there wasn't a war going on at the time, but they were and still are plotting to kill us through terrorism.
