I have been there many times in my travels. They feature having limitless choices in Restaurants in that area.

There is an information site that I recommend you use.
www. cruiselineamerica.travelwize. com.

It has everything you've asked about including points of interest and getting around economically.

Have Fun Sweetheart!!!

They also have car rentals from economy all the way to Full Size Luxury.

There's a Bennigan's at 225 North Michigan Ave, and another at 150 S. Michigan. Both of which are close (225 North would be closer) Then there's Harry Caray's at 33 W. Kinzie (kinzie & n dearborn). Excellent broiled whitefish! Lot's of Budweider. If you like Thai, there's Singha, at 350 North Clark. You really can't go wrong with Bennigans or Harry's.

Defanently rent a car. But not from Enterprise on Atlantic Blvd. Jax if full of things to do and wonderful places to go. If you drive about 40 miles south you'll be in St. Augustine where the Ripley's Museum is. You won't be bored, and you will thoroughly enjoy your stay there.
