Although Gerard is not a name I would choose, it's okay. Alexis is a nice name but sounds feminine to me, and as soon as I read the name "Twiggy" the model popped into my head. If you name the child this last one you are almost certain to doom him to ridicule and being made fun of by his peers. I think that most people that are called this are probably not given this name at birth and it is more than likely just a nick name that someone dubbed them....like a person that is stick thin...may be teasingly called "Twiggy" by her friends or family. Of course in the end, it needs to be your choice. Just consider the consequences your child may suffer as a result of a weird name. Let's face it, kids can be cruel!

Very intresting names you got picked out there. It is okay to be different when pickin out names for children. It seems like that is the theme nowadays anyways. I think like name Twiggy actually b/c its sounds cute. I really do think Alexis is too girly for a boy but you could go with Alex or Alexnder for a boy. Gerard is different also. Maybe you could go with Twiggy Gerard. Aiden is very good name too but it is too common right now. Good Luck!

Gerard and Aiden are nice. Don't give your boy a girl's name like Alexis or Twiggy.

Gerard is pleasantly normal.

Alexis, for a boy in N America, is a bad idea.

Alexei, maybe? I associate it with Alexei Sayle, and

"Alexei (Cyrillic alphabet:Алексей) is a male first name of Eastern-European and East Slavic descent, and can be pronounced (a-LEX-e-ay), (a-LEX-i), or (a-LEX-ay). It can also be spelled as "Alexi", "Alexie", "Alexy", "Alexis" or "Alexey", "Aleksei", etc."

Alexei is not too far off from your intention -- but definitely a boy's version, quite unlike Alexis (and don't even get me started on the beatings an Alexy would endure).

Twiggy, for a boy or girl, is reprehensible. "Prime Minister Twiggy" is inconceivable, only slightly more so than a boy named Twiggy getting a call back apropos of his McDonald's job application.

Aid(e/a)n is absurdly common nowadays, and infers 'common' as well. Whether or not that's a plus is up to you.

I like Alexis but as a girl's name. Gerard sounds kind of nerdy. I don't know why anyone would name a boy Twiggy unless you want him to get beaten up at school.

it's like i answered in another of your questions Twiggy??? i really hope your kidding. for a stage name it's okay, but for a real name. uh-uh. that poor kid would be called f.ag all the time. the original meaning for f.ag is twigs or a pile of sticks. i always thought of alexis as a girls' name. try alex or alexander or xander. Gerard and Aiden is good, but i'd go with Gerard because Aiden is a name being used way too much.

Gerard is the best choice. I know 3 people who have daughters named Alexis. Twiggy is begging for a school bully beating!!! I think if you decide to choose a unusual name then maybe you should give him a coman middle name ( Gerard Alexander??) this gives him a choice to possibly go by a more main stream name if he feels uncomfortable later in life........Just remember though we live in America and you have the right to name him whatever you want!!!

Gerard sounds a bit formal, but I imagine he'd be called Gerry. Alexis and Twiggy are girl's names.

Gerard seems like the best choice. Twiggy is really more of a girls name. Alexis could be boy or girl.

I love the name Aidan the best I almost named my son Eidon.

The boy's and girl's name Aidan is pronounced AY-den. It is of Irish origin, and its meaning is "fiery". Anglicized form of the ancient Gaelic name Aedan, a pet form of Aed. Name of a bishop of Ferns (seventh century) who was noted for his kindness and generosity. Saint Aidan (Ireland, seventh century) established the monastery of Lindisfarne, one of the great centers of learning of its time. Actor Aidan Quinn.

Aidan has 11 variant forms: Aedan, Aidano, Aiden, Aidyn, Aydan, Ayden, Aydin, Edan, Eden, Eidan and Eiden.

1.GERARD

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English, Dutch

Pronounced: je-RAHRD (English), KHAY-rahrt (Dutch) [key]
Derived from the Germanic element ger "spear" combined with hard "brave, hardy". The Normans introduced this name to Britain.

2.Alexis is a girls name. And a car`s name ewww i think you ment:
ALEXIUS

Gender: Masculine

Usage: Ancient Greek (Latinized)
From the Greek name Αλεξιος (Alexios) which meant "helper" or "defender", derived from Greek αλεξω (alexo) "to defend, to help". A czar of Russia has borne this name.

3. Twiggy is more of a nickname besides twiggy was a model back in the day... You don`t want to do that to a boy/man
please go with 1.Gerard or 2.Alexius if you must and please spell it ALEXIUS..
Good luck
