LIGHTLY mist with Windex and clean with a plain paper towel. Make sure the liquid DOES NOT RUN into the bottom of the screen.
I'm in IT and use this on all our laptops and LCD screens, which are the same as a laptop screen

The cool thing about lcd cleaner is the bottle it comes in. It sprays so fine that it won't run. Right now I just use water and a T shirt for mine though.

1. MAKE SURE THE LAPTOP IS OFF (or else the screen will be broken.
2. take a clean cloth and wet it with cold water and wipe it across the screen untill the dirt is washed off.
3. dry it with a dry clean cloth.

Just a little dish soap and water on a soft sponge should do it. DO NOT have it on, or saturate it too much that water runs down into the sides or bottom frame.
