You got to start Antonio Gates. Gates is a phenomenal player. Philip Rivers has been off for a few weeks, and he is going to look for a big and easy target to pass to, to raise his confidence. Also, the Chargers are looking to achieve home field advantage this week so expect Gates to have a great week.

Vernon Davis might step up in the passing game with Antonio Bryant suspended, but Gates is too big a stud to sit...and LT may not even play the full game.

Vernon Davis is Alex Smith's goto guy now that he is healthy and coming off injury.
Gates is not River's goto guy L.T is when he needs a bail out. Teams are double teaming Gates too much as San Diego does not have a true number 1 receiver anymore. Perhaps Vincent Jackson steps up that roll in the off-season next year.
