I have my ears pierced normally, but I want to know if I can stretch it further to a guage size. What size guage is a normal piercing? Im thinking I could at least get to an 18 with a normal hole. Is this possible?

Generally a normal lobe is 8-6 gague (1.2 - 1.6mm dpeneding on piercer) My advice is user tapers, vaseline or KY and DON'T be tempted to skip sizes, even if your ear feels fine. I skipped sizes and then had to go back to 7mm from a 16mm because it wouldn't heal.

You can definitely stretch this piercing. It can be done easily and with minimal discomfort as long as you go slowly and do NOT skip sizes. 6 to 8 weeks generally, however, if you feel pain when trying to stretch, then STOP. If it hurts, your body is not ready for the stretch. It takes time and patience. My ears are currently at 1" and it has taken me over 4 years to get there from 10g. If you have any questions, follow the 2 links I'll post below.

You want to increase the hole gradually..so go up a gauge size than whats in your ear..it may hurt and feel a little uncomfortable for a day or so but keep turning it to keep the hole open so it can heal that way...after a few months size up again. This is a gradual process..

Be careful

ok. if u extremely would desire to positioned on ear rings, get anot set of lobies and DONT positioned on DEM HEAVY HOOP and so on!! thats whta stretches ur holes. it somewhat is going to tear down too if u dont end. i mean pop open! bypass away the different 2 holes to tighten. after 3 - 6 months they are going to be as sturdy as new. additionally, is your piercing on the factor of the bottow of your lobe, or interior the centre. be sure its not close to the top. i think of that's lots extra able to stretching.
