If you wear mac foundation, spefically studio fix, does your seem to change color in the sun? I go in to have my color matched, it looks good in store. Go home and apply ther and it looks good there, and any where else thats indoors. But if I go outside, the nautral light seems to change the color of the makeup. It usually appears to dark and to pink. Do I just have weird skin or does this happen to anyone else?

Since studio fix is a powder foundation, it gets darker and pinker as your skin's natural moisture interacts with it. Just like when you dip a light blue t-shirt into water, it gets darker, anything dry that hits moisture turns darker...So when you go to the counter to get matched, be sure the ma moisturizes your skin first so that the powder hits the moisture and changes color immediately. Another great trick is after the powder is on to mist it with water. After you have chosen a color and before you purchase it, go check it out in the daylight, which is a full spectrum light that shows everything! Remember, though, most people interact indoors so the way your makeup looks outdoors is not how most people see you. Finally, if it is too frustrating I know mac has several other great foundation choices that are not powder. I hope this helps!

Hmm. It doesn't sound like you really *need" a foundation, so I think first I would try working with the concealer. Maybe you need a different shade? If possible, go into a store like Sephora or a department store and ask for help with choosing the shade. Or you could try mixing it with a moisturizer - I've done that in the past and it really helps smooth it on seamlessly. Possibly try changing how you apply it - I'm not familiar with the product you use but different things work better if you use a flat brush or just your fingers (instead of its actual applicator.) You could also try a different type of concealer - you know, some are more of a thick liquid and others are more of a stick concealer that's creamier and they work better for different people. If you do want to try more of a foundation, mineral makeup is wonderful and I highly recommend it. I definitely would avoid a liquid foundation because I think a girl your age looks better more naturally and because the liquid is somewhat difficult to apply evenly. With a mineral makeup, you can apply it dry or with a wet sponge, which gives you more coverage if you need it some days. My skin hasn't always been great, but with my mineral powder foundation I get a lot of compliments and its very easy to use and feel good about.

Hey there, I've been using Studio Fix for years now and I do know that sometimes what I see at home/in store is slightly different than when I go outside & check my makeup. It's not you!!!

A couple of (hopefully helpful) tips:
- talk to the MAC salesperson - tell them your problem & hopefully they will keep that in mind when helping you to choose your colours.
- I know most MAC stores are in dept. stores, but there are a few that are actual stores so will have windows that let in natural light. The store I go to is a normal store (not in a mall) so I always put some product on and then go to the window to see it in the natural light.
- If you still can't get it to match, I'd suggest trying a different product. I love my Studio Fix and have found the perfect match (although I do change my colour in the summer since I'm darker at that time than in the winter) but if you're not happy, it's not worth it!

Good luck!

WEll I've found that I look really pink indoors but outside I have a really pretty color to my skin... It sounds pretty opposite. I went back to the store and they said they couldn't get a better color for me... hmm.

I think you'll need to get a color matched against your skin again.....I've had to do it several times to get the best match.
