the ip address is 0.0.0.0 and everything else for the settings is empty and do not know what to do, please help.

I have had the same problem with my phones, but this best and simplest thing to do is to phone the customer service desk. They are usually helpful and if not perserver. On one of my phones a sony ericsson I basically had to work out the settings myself but you can get O2 to email you the settings for you which can make it easier and more straightforward
