It doesn’t matter to me. They are so inconceivably far away, that, even if we could travel at the speed of light—which we can’t—our entire species could die out and disappear by the time they got here. Or theirs could die out and disappear by the time we got there.
Result? As Spock once said, “A difference that MAKES no difference IS no difference.” So, practically speaking, no. There might as well not be life on other planets. Even if we knew there was, we still couldn’t REACH them…!
“Between me and thee there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who would go over from here to you cannot, neither can any come over from there to us.”

both the theory of probabilities and Quantum theory state that they do exist. the universe is too large to disregard the probability of life on other planets. also, according to quantum theory(which states that all possibilities occur simultaneously), life on other planets has 2 exist!

God and the angles are not from earth so yes there is life out there.I`m christian but i also keep an open mind.Anyone that thinks creation,(evaluation)stopped with earth might as well think the earth is flat and the sun orbits the earth.

It depends upon what you mean by life and whether you mean in our solar system or do you include planets in other solar systems and galaxies. If you mean only in our solar system then there is evidence that the basic building blocks of life, some crude forms of carbon based complex molecules, probably exists on some of the planets either imbedded in ice crystals or buried under the soil. However active and flourishing forms of life are somewhat questionable due to current severe environmental conditions on other planets. The allowable range of temperatures, UV and other forms of radiation, atmosphere, moisture and other factors required for life to flourish is very narrow. Life requires the existence of very delicate, long and complex molecular chains capable of replicating and assuming functional roles. On earth it has evolved in terms of extraordinarily complex DNA molecules consisting of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and other elements formed in extremely long chemical chains. Carbon is one of the key elements because of its ability to form long covalent bonds with itself and with other elements. It is possible during the evolutionary development of other planets in the past that life may have developed such as on Mars or even on the moons of other planets such as Saturn but such life has since died out or gone into hibernation.
There are other elements with similar properties to Carbon such as Silicon but there are chemical reasons why they are not as effective at this as Carbon. There has been speculation that under different conditions that may exist on other planets that perhaps Silicon is capable of producing life forming chemicals but this is probably closer to the realm of sci-fi.
As for other solar systems and galaxies, the odds of life are extremely high due to their shear vastness. There are millions of galaxies, billions of solar systems and countless planets. Life, even as advances or more so than ours probably exists. However it may exist in one out of every million planets and thus our nearest intelligent neighbor may be hundreds or millions of light years away. Of course it is always possible that intelligent life may also be only a solar system away. But it is highly unlikely, but not impossible, that there is life as we know it on other planets in our solar system.
