Even if by trying to do so, you could likely cause more accidents by running into the street to save the child ?
I hope everyone answers "Yes, I would risk my own life and maybe others and TRY to save that child" . And if any other accidents occured because people were dodging me or that child, then that's unfortunate, but right is right and wrong is wrong. .. . . .WE ALL MUST TRY !!
Then why do people not understand about what's happening in Iraq ? We're trying. . . .. and unfortunately others are dying as a result of our efforts, but we are saving many of those peoples lives, people who before the war had ZERO chance of living a reasonable life or even having ANY LIFE TO LIVE .

We have laws to protect the people of this great nation . It is the responsibility of the operator to maintain control over your vehicle at all times and thus a child may walk into the street without fear of being run over . A street with people on its sides should be traveled at a safe speed .
Pedestrians are prohibited from being allowed on highways .
It is the responsibility of the parent to watch over a child and prepare them for the world which is a dangerous place .
I can drive by the poor , homeless and the dieing and not concern myself with them so why would I bother to do someone else's job .

So if that is our purpose why did we choose Iraq to save. There are countries much worse off then Iraq was. You call whats going on over there reasonable? What needs to be done is going to take a major reformation of the way people think in these countries and that is going to take a much longer time than we can spend in there. It is time to get out.

With all due respect, that is a very odd analogy. What does the child represent? WMD? Is the busy street al Qaeda and the child is America?
Do you have any idea how many actual children have been killed in Iraq because of Bush's war? Do you understand how much better off Iraqi children were before America declared war on their country?

Uh, Bottles....your example is weak. There's a HUGE difference between "trying" and rushing into something without proper planning, ignoring the warnings of people paid to advise you (hence the term "advisors").
Saddam was a bad guy, but what has happened in Iraq is a travesty, and young men like you will pay the price, with your lives and life savings.
Am I to assume that you'll head down to the nearest Army office and enlist?
Well, c'mon.........

Hmmm,
So to put this in the same mindset you have you are letting more children wander into the streets and you have increased the traffic flow and taken out the stop signs.
Its people like you that want to save the world, and yet you will walk past a homeless person and gaze on them in disgust calling them lazy and worthless. FIX YOUR OWN PROBLEMS AT HOME FIRST, before you start playing "Team America"....

I will save that child no matter what but I will consider the loss of other people's lives .It's nonesense to save 1 and risk 100 or more to sudden agressive death. Then say "I have done a noble mission".

I don't see the correlation. Of course I would try to save a child walking into a busy street. You said "we're trying"..what exaclty are you trying? I still haven't heard a solid reason why you are there in the first place.

Operation Freedom Iraq, or as you put it Help Crossing The Street, is a repeat of history where us whities conquer an area with the sole idea of Convert or die.
