Here:

You'd divide the both the top by 3...

so you'd haveee (15 divided by 3)- (36 divided by 3)x over (3 divided by 3)

you'd gettt 5-12x over 1

so, your answer would beee 5-12x =]

The answer is 3x. If it is futher simplified to know the value of x it becomes x=1/3
