Way-hay, not a question about Saddam, instead, the weather. Any signs of winter yet? Any cold spells on the horizon to grip us?

ok, i'm in northeast and it's a beautiful sunny day. almost springlike. I've lived here 15 years and this is the first year where we haven't had any significant snowfall by dec. 31. something weird going on, and I don't like it!!!

Oklahoma has seen some signs of it.

Long range forecasting models still indicate a WARMER AND DRYER THAN NORMAL period for much of the Northeast, the northern parts of the Midwest, and a colder and weter or near normal precipitation and temperature pattern for much of the Central, Northwest, and the southern parts of the United States. Meanwhile, cooler than normal and weter than normal patterns for the Southwestern United States.

The El-Nino or warm phase of the Pacific Cycle will end in the late Winter and early Spring. At that point the neutralization phases take place and things begin to return to normal. However during this phase we see some lasting affects.

Storm season is bound to turn out "interesting". Last year not very much - just short and intense bursts. This year, I think we're in for an interesting storm season.

We had 10 inches of snow on the 21st and another 7 inches on the 29th in western Nebraska. I would gladly send some of it your way if I could. I hate driving on ice!!
