Well for me, it has been a great learning experience to learn about myself. Chasing after guys and constantly complaining for someone just took the life out of me. Fortunately, I've been able to learn about the good and bad qualities of me and this has allowed me to relax. Sure, there are down days, but overall I've learned so much about myself and I'm okay with that.

Maybe this isn't the answer you were looking for, but that's my take on the single life.

Sorry but I didn't think this was a dumb question...or maybe my blonde is showing up????
I have been married since got out of high school....had never lived alone or the single life in all these years. I relocated with a job for a year and first 2 weeks I cried....husb stayed in our home 10 hours away......I took the relocation in part for career move and mostly to "run".....it helped me to grow up and become what I am today....a better person...being single has its rewards
Am back now though, Its if you like your life like that is what counts. If you can accept it like that then its fine.....at least it taught me if something happens to my husb I can make it alone.

When I first became single, it was like being a kid in a candy store. I went out, dated, met lots of new people and had alot of fun. However, I found through all of this "fun", I much prefer being in a committed relationship with just one person that I can share all of myself with.
Being single can be fun but it can also be lonely.

It has its ups and downs especially if you have kids. The difference that I felt when I was single, oppose to being married now, is that I had a lot more freedom. Not to mention being independent also felt really good.

I have learned to really enjoy being single and to enjoy my own company. I rarely feel lonely because I keep in close touch with friends and family. However, if I didn't have my family and friends, I doubt I would enjoy the freedom so much!

Depends, if you are working, surrounded with friends. interests and going out, having fun and doing your thing, well it's not too bad. I am in a complex relationship that makes me really miss my single days. For me. they were great.

Being single is something different to everyone. To some, it means lonliness and lots of boredom. To some, it means independence and not having to "answer" to anyone. Either way, it's something personal to everyone. To me, it means not being able to wake up next to the man I love everyday and roll over for morning cuddles. :)

I'm single and I'm fine. It gives you a chance to explore around and look at what you got instead of what you want.

It is like anything else. It has it's up's and down's.
I like the fact that I am able to go and do what I want when I want, wihtout any obligations. Although it would have been nice to have had someone to spend the hollidays with.

I think I look a lot younger than the people that I know with a wife and children that are my same age.
