I'm not sure which is worst - that there's no such thing as a free lunch OR you can't win a prize if you haven't entered the competition!

- I've learned just to hang in there, because thing will look up again. - I've learned not to make assumptions, or be too quick to judge. Everyone deserves a chance, and you'll often find a friend where you didn't thing you could. - I've learned not to take things too seriously. Just laugh. - I've learned that a smile, or a simple hello can make a huge difference. - I've learned that nothing should be taken for granted - you'll miss it when it's gone. - Above all, I've learned to have respect. Respect those around you and you can't go wrong.

The most important thing I have learned about life, is that it is very short. The older you get, the quicker time seems to fly by.
In light of the three score and ten years which we can reasonably expect on this planet, it is important to do the things we want to do and not just dream about them.
I once saw a poster on the London Underground of an elderly couple looking at a poster of New York City in a cafe - the man said to his wife, "we could have gone there, but I guess it's too late now." Please do not be like the old couple above.
Do it. Live life, make each day a new and exciting experience.

The single most amazing thing I've done is have 2 beautiful children. The most important things I have learned in life are: 1) Jesus really is the answer, 2) that time really does heal all wounds and 3)that as you get older you redefine your definition of the word, "friend".

Isn't it funny how often the little pleasures in life are often what really make us happy. We sit around daydreaming of having something wonderful in the future, but meanwhile the greatest joy we may ever experience is just the daily things right in front of us. The rising sun, a great cup of coffee, a hot delicious breakfast, the roar of the ocean surf, the peaceful beauty of a walk in the woods, a great song on the radio while you are driving to work, a playful exchange of words with a stranger in line at the grocery store. Enjoy every moment of your life, and don't let the blind pursuit of ambition blind you to the wonderful things you already have.

That I walk around with a sign on my head saying 'wipe your feet'! I.e. That for some reason, I give people the impression that they can take me for granted. Amazing things that I've done that I'll never forget are:
1. Survived a serious neurological disorder as a baby with no after effects.
2. Got an upper second degree (never thought I'd get to university, espeically considering the above.)
3. Became a Psychology Teacher and Examiner.
Happy New Year to you too and thanks for your question!
A great ritual for seeing out the old year and bringing in the new!

To quote someone famous( can't remember who),
"Damnedest thing I've ever seen'.
Esp. true now that I have been around a while.
The usual , common,mistakes I guess.
Should have finished degree.
Should have been less conservative in taking chances, missed adventures & opportunities
.Lessons learned...
There are just plain "rotten" people in the world.
Another quote" If you do not learn from history ,you are doomed to repeat it".
Go with the flow, but make changes for the better if possible.
Do not conciously do harm.
Amazing things?
Nothing special.
Occaisonal random acts of kindness.
Witnessed & experienced more good & evil than many people.
Survived so far.
Best regards

I've made a lot of mistakes, done some interesting things.
The most important thing I've learned is that you get out of life
what you put into it,and the most fulfilling moments are when you give to others.

Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesnt try it on.
The nice part about living in a small town is that when you don't know what you're doing, someone else does.
Amazing fact! You hang something in your closet for awhile and it shrinks two sizes!
If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a noose around your neck?

I have learned that there are 2 kinds of people - Good and Bad.
There are people that you dont like who are good people but you just dont get on. I have learned to accept that I dont get on with then and not to dislike them for it.
The bad people will always be bad. They may act like your friend and do some good things from time to time but they are not nice people. I always stay away from them.
Mistakes....Ive made a few......
Giving birth was the most amazing thing I have ever done.
Happy new year to you too :)

The most important thing I've learned about life in my 48 years is how precious the time with our loved ones is. Each moment during each season of life should be cherished...and never taken for granted, take the time to tell those you love how much they mean to you. For me, love and family are the most important things...without them....nothing else has much meaning.
