I signed in once with an email address but now I want to remove it from the drop-down menu. My computer is a Windows PC. It is the Windows Messenger, not the MSN messenger.

How do I remove the user ID?

Thanks alot in advance! (best answer for clear and concise step-by-step instruction)

Hi,

That's a Microsoft intentional 'feature' from what I've gathered as they assume people will forget their ID's so they don't give you deletion options.

What I did was type anything in there and then try to login so it would not be able to login to my account all the time without me intending to do so.

I've also tried going to Control Panel/Internet Properties/Content/AutoComplete and delete my information from there, but I don't remember if that did it or not, but I don't see anywhere else where you can do that without going to and editing the registry which I wouldn't do if I'm not good at that sort of think and have a backup of it and know how to restore it from experience! :-)

Hope that helps.
