Consider the cost of the INK. I highly recommend a Canon printer and here's why: Cheaper ink; separate color ink cartridges, so you don't waste unused ink when one color runs out; Best photo printing; fast printing; reliable paper feed; lasts longer.
Buy the Canon from Staples, where you will see a few different models. Make sure that you get the model that has 5 separate cartridges. Do not try to save money on the printer, when it is the cartridges that will COST you money, so look at the price of Ink Cartridges for the printer that you buy. I know Professional Photographers that swear by Canon printers for their color quality for making PROOFs.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

Evaluate your needs before picking a printer. I use HP printers because their ink cartridges are usually less costly and are readily available even in supermarkets, pharmacies, office stores and elsewhere. Additionally current generation inkjet printers use less ink than earlier ones, but the price of ink needs to be considered.
Right now I'm using an HP Photosmart printer that uses 1 black cartridges and 5 color cartridges. (The black cartridge is much larger than the color cartridges.) The cartridges, called Vivera, last and last. The color cartridges are only about $10 each and the black isn't much more expensive. But be prepared: If you are intend to print lots of pictures then you'll be using lots of ink.
About DELL printers: I don't think that they manufacturer their own printers so consider the servicing implications especially if you don't need a high-end printer..
Bottom line? Don't buy what a printer that outdistances your needs, and my feelings are that you should get one that is a name brand, like HP, Canon, etc.
A tip: Shop around. Wal-Mart has some great bargains. One that I saw there today today was a Lexmark All-In-One (printer/scanner/copier/fax) that was less than $30.00!

Get a common printer like an HP. They last and ink cartridges are commonly available. Dell sells off brands and if they cannot sell printers next year, the cartridges will go away. HP has been selling printers for 2 decades

Any printer will work fine with your laptop. Before buying a printer, see what price the ink cartridges are, some cost allot more. I like HP, but Lexmark is fine too, basically depending on what you plan on doing, a printer, is a printer, is a printer. Happy New Years.

Unless things have changed in the last couple of years any printer will work. I had a laptop I used as a CPU tower, just pluged in a LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, scanner and printer and it worked just like a desktop.

Any printer will work fine. But i suggest you don't buy a really expensive one unless you really need it because most printers are just as expensive as the refill ink cartridges needed for them. I just buy those really cheap ones that come with a more expensive ink cartridge

a million) G stress 2) relies upon on what you get 3) they're high-quality each and all of the manufacturers use a similar components so interior the top it extremely would not rely what you get. the only difference is tech help. observe Alienware is owned via Dell so in case you get an XPS you get a similar difficulty.

Any printer will work, but you may want a wireless connection to eliminate cables.
