This guy is torn between his wife of 18 years and his mistress of 2 years. He can't commit to either one whole heartedly. He says that already knows that he is going to end up alone. So why doesn't he just break the ties with one and really try with the other? Why spread his love so thin? If the women come to their senses, he will be alone.

He's afraid that which ever one he picks, that he will wish that he had picked the other one. Maybe he deserves to be alone.

I think he's already made his decision to live the bachelor life. I think he should divorce his wife because it isn't fair to her. He can continue on with the mistress but also see other people. There isn't anything wrong with not wanting to be tied down to one person. It's just that he found this out too late at his wife's expense.

It is called having his cake and eating it too.. Wants the best of both worlds. This way he always has a bed to sleep in and if one cooks a meal he doesn't like he can go to the other one for a better meal.. and that includes the sex life.. if one has her period and crabby he can run to the other one. Seems he is getting twice what he is giving and both women are being shorted while he gets his loving twice.

He sounds like he's confused and needs some good guidance like therapy. He's probably a really good guy and just Ned's help. That's why therapy is good to find out why we do the things we do that just don't make any sense at all. Maybe he doesn't think he deserves to be happy. '-)

Let em guess....you are the mistress?!!! Wow...Why should he leave his wife when you are not going anywhere. Even if he does eventually leave, he still won't be with you.

He won't be alone, if he gets dumped he'll move on to someone else and use that person to.
