No, stick with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. A number of programs won't work anymore. This includes Quickbooks and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. I have no idea why Microsoft would BREAK their own software with this upgrade.

I also recommend that you buy more RAM. You computer would run faster with 512MB or more. Visit http://www.coastmemory and look up your system.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Hi,
Different people have different opinions but put it this way. If internet explorer 6 was better than 7 then y would such a big company like microsoft waste their time, energy and money in developing internet explorer 7?

IE 7 is more secure than IE6 coz there r more chances of u getting viruses/spyware through IE6 than 7. More over, many websites r more optimized for IE7 than 6 e.g. yahoo.com

Secondly, as for the 'ram' bit. I cannot advice an upgrade at the moment coz u did not tell us how big ur hard disk is storage wise. The storage of the hard disk should be balanced by the amount of ram.

Thirdly, u might wanna get a browser called firefox which is supposed to be more faster and safer than IE.

Finally, the answer to ur question is definately yes!

Hope that helps

I don't agree with danuitti. Because you will choose your own browser . I have this set up on my computer, and the computers I work on down stairs as an administrator. Firefox 2.0 installed along with McAffe site advisor fire fox version web browser. Now, I didnt do this because it might be popular or its fancy. I did it because the security is much better then the IE explorer 7.

I would recommend downloading Mozilla Firefox 2.0. It is a much more secure program and it very user-friendly. It has a simple interface that anyone could easily use.

That is pretty much what I have. I didn't like 7. It was definitely slower. I went back to the previous one and all is well.

I haven't yet because it seems like everyone is having problems with it. I'm waiting until they get all of the bugs out of it. But it is your choice.
