AA uses that saying "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got" to point out the fact that taking the first drink when you're an alcoholic will eventually land you in the same problems you've had before.

Never heard about this, because even you are doing the same thing every time you will always come up to something different. But if you followed a pattern you will always do the same things, this is what i know.
