you could be poor and never ever had a birthday party be thankful for what you have had. your parents have been very gracious and you are spoiled.

I just turned 11 a couple of weeks ago. Well, in second grade I had a b-day party and well, someone was hiding in my bro's closet. Crazy party so no more for me! Your parents probably won't let you have the party because they don't have enough money or they don't want to take care of the other kids or something. I think that it is not fair and fair at the same time. Act like you are in your parents situation.

No I don't think that it's fair. I am 23 years old and my mom still gives me birthday parties. She probably always will. We have birthday parties for everyone in our family no matter their age. It's a celebration, your day. But maybe she's planning on a surprise thing for you. If she really is serious about no party then I'm sorry I couldn't imagine not giving my little girls birthday parties.

Don't worry about the small things so much. You're only 10, going on 11, and you're still a child. Accept what ever your parents allow you to do and be thankful you have such caring parents. This is not the end of the world for you! You've got your whole life ahead of you - relax and be a kid.

It is your parents fault that you feel it is unfair....
Sounds lilke they spoil the crap out of you..
Grow up. Guess who's paying for all of it? Money doesnt grow on trees dude.... You should be thankfull you are getting anything. A lot of kids your age don't get parties or shopping spree's...
again... your freakin' spoiled...

Personally? No, I don't think it is fair if you still want to have a party. Did you ask them why? Could there be a reason? High cost? Destruction in the past? It could help you understand why they are going this way if you knew why.

i had one birthday party growing up, that was when i was 14. so be happy that you've gotten ten so far. and if my daughter was 11, i don't think i'd give her a choice either. you're growing up, it's just life.

No, everyone should be able to throw birthday parties, no matter what age he's turning. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me... hope you have a happy birthday though :)
